Better bus service for Chapeltown

 WORKERS and residents in Chapeltown can look forward to an even more convenient bus service from now on after an extension to the popular 35a service. From Monday (26 July) the 35a shuttle bus will now serve Brookdale Road, carrying passengers to the nearby Thorncliffe Park Industrial Estate in Sheffield, which is home to scores of local employers. The service extension will improve links between Chapeltown and the industrial estate, making it easier for employees to travel to and from work.

 Passengers using bus service 51 from Charnock to Lodgemoor can now enjoy travelling for less after fares on this route were reduced.  As part of a ten-week long promotion, bus fares on the First service have been reduced by up to almost 19 per cent, saving passengers up to 45p per trip.
