A rural bus service is being enhanced to offer Doncaster residents access to a new employment site, which opens on Monday 8 October.
Service 205, which already runs from Doncaster town centre to the distribution centre DHL EXEL at Tickhill, will be extended to serve the company’s brand new sister site in Harworth.
Bus timetables have also been scheduled to fit in with shift patterns so employees can travel to and from work by public transport.
Mark Trask, from South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (SYPTE) said: “Service 205 has served DHL EXEL employees since July 2003 and we are delighted to be able to extend this service to their new site.
“From Monday anyone living in Doncaster will have a direct link to both work places and we hope hundreds of people will be able to benefit from it.”
Service 205 runs seven days a week and is operated by First. As well as the Tickhill and Harworth factory, the service also provides a direct link to Hesley Village College and is used regularly by staff and students.
