The Transport Executive would like to inform passengers that there have been some service improvements to the Tesco, Abbeydale Road Park and Ride service in Sheffield.
Due to passenger demand there is now an extra journey running from Abbeydale at 17:40, returning from the University at 18:05.
There have also been some slight timetable changes to the service – buses will now run from Tesco at 10 minutes and 40 minutes past the hour during the afternoon peak.
The park and ride facility operates Monday to Friday from around 06:30 to 18:30 with buses running every 30 minutes at peak times. It saves the stress of negotiating traffic congestion and finding a parking space for anyone visiting or working at the Hallamshire Hospital, the University or in the surrounding area.
The bus service, which is operated by TM Travel, runs to key employment sites close to the city centre such as the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, the Octagon Centre, Sheffield University, Western Park and the Children’s Hospital.
Passengers can purchase a day ticket for £2.50 or a weekly ticket for £8.50.
Leaflets giving details of the park and ride service are available from the Transport Executive’s Information Centres in Sheffield and within the Abbeydale Tesco store.
