Christmas public transport services

03 December 2013

BUS, TRAM AND TRAIN services in South Yorkshire will be running to festive timetables between 24 December and 2 January.

Most buses will follow Saturday timetables on weekdays and tram and train services will run to revised timetables over the holidays.

Special First and Stagecoach bus services, funded by Sheffield City Council in partnership with SYPTE, will run in Sheffield between 8am and 5.30pm on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day for a festive fare of just £1 per journey.

Supertram will operate the Yellow route between Middlewood and Meadowhall, and a special festive Blue route service from Halfway to Meadowhall via Cathedral in Sheffield, on Boxing Day between 6.30am and 6.50pm and on New Year’s Day between 8.50am and 5.15pm.

Those travelling by train should check with Network Rail or their operating company for any planned engineering works or local disruptions.

Passengers can plan their journey, find live disruption information and updates to scheduled services, by:
