On Saturday 24 November 2007 continuing works on Phase 1 of the A638 Quality Bus Corridor (QBC) will lead to temporary lane restrictions on Bawtry Road at Cantley Lights.
It is necessary for these restrictions to be put in place to allow refurbishment work on the pelican crossing at St Augustine’s Avenue to be carried out safely.
The lane restrictions will be introduced at 17:30 on Saturday 24 November and remain in place on Sunday 25 November. The restrictions will then be removed as soon as it is safe to do so.
Further to these restrictions, due to the narrow nature of this section of Bawtry Road, a 10mph convoy system will operate from Cantley Lane to Gliwice Way between the hours of 20:00 and 23:00 on both Saturday 24 November and Sunday 25 November.
Apologies are made for any inconvenience that this may cause, however the closures are essential for the safety of both the workforce and the general public and will enable the work to be completed more efficiently.
Motorists are advised to consider using suitable alternative routes.
